Exfoliators

Exfoliators remove dead cells, as well as grime and oil that collect on the skin's surface and in pores. Get rid of that useless muck and your face will look soft and glowing. But use too many types of exfoliators at once or too often, and your skin will appear dry and flaky instead of radiant and soft. Your can't go wrong with a gentle AHA product. Glycolic, malic, and lactic acids are common AHAs, and you'll find find them in daytime and nighttime moisturizers, foundations, washes, and more. Choose one AHA product and you'll be set. If you are in your mid-thirties or beyond, consider a glycolic peel, which has the effect of two weeks' worth of daily glycolic cream in one shot. Glycolic peels smooth skin's sruface, minimize lines, and fade brown sunspots. They're meant to be done in a series of six to twelve treatments, a little at a time. Immediately after applying, your sking may look pink, like you've just worked out. A dermatologist's office is the best place to receive a glycolic peel, because a doctor can use a stronger formula than what you'll get from a day spa or home kit. Kiehl's peel works great too.

Remember, to keep lasting results, use sunscreen everyday.
